Juventus have completed the permanent transfer of defender David Puczka to Genoa for a fee of €6 million, the club confirmed on Tuesday. The fee will be paid over three financial years, generating a positive financial impact of approximately €5.4 million for Juventus after accounting for associated costs of around €600,000.
The move for Puczka is separate from the earlier agreement that saw Juventus acquire forward Jeff Ekhator from Genoa on July 1st, 2026, for a fixed fee of €16 million. This difference in transfer values results in a net outgoing payment of roughly €10 million from Juventus to Genoa. Final accounting verification will occur during the preparation of the annual financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2026.
Puczka has already begun his medical examinations with Genoa, arriving in the city to complete the necessary checks before finalizing his contract and becoming an official player for the Rossoblù. Juventus released details of the financial agreement prior to a confirming statement expected from Genoa later today.
David Puczka, a left-back, struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for Juventus since joining the club. He primarily featured in a rotational role, making limited appearances in Serie A and Coppa Italia. The transfer provides Puczka with an opportunity for more consistent playing time at Genoa, where he will hope to develop further.
For Juventus, the sale represents a streamlining of the squad and a positive contribution to their financial standing. The acquisition of Ekhator, a promising young forward, addresses a need in their attacking options. This pair of transactions demonstrate Juventus’ commitment to both financial responsibility and squad improvement as they prepare for future campaigns.
