Randal Kolo Muani is again poised to be the subject of interest from Juventus, marking the third consecutive transfer window the Turin club has pursued the French forward. Despite previous disappointments, sources indicate Kolo Muani remains keen on a move to the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus initially targeted Kolo Muani during the summer of 2023, with then-manager Igor Tudor strongly advocating for his signing. However, the club ultimately opted for Lois Openda, a decision that has not aged well in comparison to the potential Kolo Muani offered, especially considering the €46 million spent on Openda. Following a failed move, Kolo Muani joined Tottenham Hotspur, a transfer that was described as mutually convenient but not a top priority for either party.
His time in North London has been underwhelming, with a promising start quickly fading. Kolo Muani scored only five goals in all competitions for Spurs, a downturn in form that jeopardized his chances of inclusion in the French national team. There were fleeting opportunities for a January move back to Juventus, initially prompted by a request from manager Luciano Spalletti, but these were thwarted by the then-Tottenham manager Thomas Frank. Subsequent managerial changes at Tottenham, with Tudor and De Zerbi both failing to provide Kolo Muani with consistent playing time, have further fueled his desire to leave.
Crucially, Kolo Muani maintains strong relationships with players at Juventus, regularly communicating with several members of the squad. The Juventus dressing room is reportedly enthusiastic about his potential arrival, valuing his professionalism and positive attitude. Spalletti also reportedly expressed interest in signing him based on feedback from the existing squad. Juventus officials have re-established positive relations with Paris Saint-Germain, facilitating potential negotiations.
Juventus are prepared to offer around €30 million for Kolo Muani, a figure considered reasonable for a player of his caliber, despite his recent struggles. The club is also assessing the future of Dusan Vlahovic, and securing Kolo Muani could provide cover and competition in the forward line. Kolo Muani is prioritizing regular playing time and a return to a high level of competition, with the Europa League not being a deterrent to a potential move.
