Juventus have appointed Ricky Massara to a key role within the club’s structure, according to comments made by CEO Giovanni Carnevali at a Sky presentation in Milan. Carnevali stated the move is part of a broader effort to build a “winning” team behind the scenes, complementing the on-field squad.
Massara will have full responsibility for the club’s football structure, working alongside existing sporting director Giovanni Ottolini. Carnevali emphasized the importance of strengthening the entire organization, not just focusing on player acquisitions. This restructuring suggests Juventus are prioritizing a more comprehensive approach to football operations.
Regarding potential player transfers, Carnevali addressed the ongoing situation surrounding Kolo Muani, stating that Juventus have not increased their offer and the selling club have not lowered their demands. He cautioned against fixating on a single player, highlighting the need for careful evaluation and avoiding mistakes in the transfer market. The CEO indicated the club is making positive progress on multiple fronts.
When discussing forwards, Carnevali mentioned Kolo Muani, Aleksander Sorloth, and Dusan Vlahovic, suggesting all three remain part of the club’s considerations. He confirmed no recent contact with Vlahovic regarding his future, but left the door open for potential discussions. He acknowledged the high demands currently placed on players and the need for patience in both incoming and outgoing transfers.
Juventus are also monitoring the availability of Argentina’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, alongside other potential targets. Carnevali stressed the importance of Juventus operating on an international level to identify opportunities, while also recognizing the inflated valuations currently prevalent in the transfer market. He also addressed speculation linking the club with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, stating that no definitive decision has been made, and the situation could change quickly. The club is committed to a holistic vision, rather than focusing solely on one player.
