Juventus are again monitoring the situation of Fikayo Tomori at Milan, according to reports in Italy. The club previously held preliminary talks with the defender in 2025, but a deal failed to materialize after Tomori rejected the move. Now, with the potential arrival of another centre-back at Milan, and Juventus seeking to bolster their own defensive options under coach Luciano Spalletti, the Bianconeri are revisiting the possibility of signing the Englishman.
Juventus’ interest is contingent on outgoings, with Federico Gatti potentially departing the club. While Gatti maintains a good relationship with Spalletti, he is currently behind Bremer in the pecking order and seeks a role as a starter. At 28 years old, Gatti is looking for consistent first-team football and Juventus are open to cashing in on the player, who has a low book value of €4 million and a contract running until 2030. The club values him at around €20 million, hoping to generate a significant profit from a sale.
Tomori initially joined Milan from Chelsea in January 2021, brought to the club by Frederic Massara, now Juventus’ chief football officer. He was previously a target for Juventus in January 2025, identified as a potential replacement for Bremer, but ultimately chose to remain at Milan, turning down offers from Juventus and Tottenham. However, the arrival of a new defender at Milan could change his situation, potentially leading him to reconsider his options.
Tomori currently earns €3.5 million net per year at Milan, benefitting from the growth decree, and has a book value of just over €7 million. A move could represent a beneficial outcome for both clubs, allowing Milan to realize a profit and Juventus to add a proven Serie A defender to their squad. Juventus’ transfer strategy this summer, under new CEO Giovanni Carnevali, prioritizes player sales before making new signings.
