Juventus are accelerating their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, with the club hoping to finalize a deal before the start of their pre-season training camp next week, according to reports in Italy. The Bianconeri are facing resistance from PSG, who are unwilling to offer any discount on their asking price and are seeking favorable payment terms.
Negotiations are complicated by PSG’s potential openness to a loan deal, which would require Juventus to offer more substantial guarantees than simply qualifying for the Champions League – a condition viewed as questionable given their recent Serie A form. Juventus officials are scheduled to meet with intermediaries representing Kolo Muani this week to explore potential solutions.
This is not the first time Juventus have attempted to sign Kolo Muani, having come close to securing his services last summer before ultimately pursuing Arnaud Openda, a transfer that proved unsuccessful. The club is keen to avoid a similar situation, wanting a definitive answer from PSG to maintain their transfer planning.
Juventus are simultaneously exploring alternative options, including Lorenzo Pellegrino of Roma, Antonin Sorloth, and Karl Mateta, as a contingency plan. However, manager Massimiliano Allegri is particularly keen on Kolo Muani, having previously identified him as a target during his time at Napoli and again in January. Allegri believes the player’s qualities would significantly improve the Juventus attack.
Juventus have already submitted an initial offer of €33 million for Kolo Muani, which was rejected by PSG. The club is now preparing to revise their offer, focusing on structuring a deal with bonuses to bridge the gap between their valuation and PSG’s demands. The urgency stems from Allegri’s desire to strengthen the squad and the need for Juventus to be proactive in the transfer market, particularly given their financial constraints following their absence from the Champions League.
