Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a summer transfer for Inter defender Yann Bisseck, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The German champions were initially linked with the 25-year-old in February and remain interested in securing his services during the upcoming transfer window.
Inter would reportedly be willing to part with Bisseck for a fee of around €40 million. The defender joined Inter from FC Copenhagen in August 2023 and has become a regular feature in Simone Inzaghi’s squad, making 24 appearances across all competitions this season. He has contributed defensively and demonstrated versatility, featuring both as a central defender and on the right flank.
Bisseck’s path to becoming a key player at Inter wasn’t immediate, as he initially struggled for consistent playing time. However, injuries to other defenders provided opportunities for him to showcase his abilities, and he quickly established himself as a reliable option. His performances have caught the eye of several clubs, including Bayern, who are seeking to bolster their defensive options.
The potential move to Bayern would see Bisseck return to his native Germany, where he began his professional career. He previously played for Rudesheim and 1. FC Koln’s youth system before moving to Denmark. Bisseck earned his first cap for the German national team in March 2023, though he has not been included in the squad since.
Bayern are currently assessing their defensive needs ahead of next season, with concerns over the long-term futures of some of their current centre-backs. Adding Bisseck would provide competition for places and offer tactical flexibility to manager Thomas Tuchel. The transfer could also provide a financial boost for Inter, allowing them to reinvest in other areas of the squad.
