AC Milan, under newly appointed manager Ruben Amorim, are reportedly interested in signing both Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui from Manchester United, according to multiple reports. Manchester United are actively reshaping their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League, and the club is open to allowing both players to depart.
Diallo, who previously worked with Amorim, is identified as a ‘prime target’ for Milan, though securing a deal may prove difficult given his value to Manchester United manager Michael Carrick’s plans. The 21-year-old winger’s form reportedly dipped towards the end of last season under Carrick, but Amorim evidently remains a fan of the player’s capabilities. Diallo joined Manchester United in January 2021 from Atalanta, but has had limited consistent first-team opportunities.
Mazraoui, a right-back, has also emerged on Milan’s shortlist as they seek a replacement for Aston Villa-bound Pervis Estupinan. However, Manchester United are currently ‘not particularly keen’ on selling the Moroccan international, meaning Milan may face an uphill battle in their pursuit. Mazraoui joined United in the summer of 2022 from Ajax and has established himself as a regular in the squad, providing competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Separately, reports suggesting a move for Marcus Rashford to Fenerbahce have been dismissed by Fabrizio Romano. Romano stated there are “no negotiations” or “conversations” between Rashford and the Turkish club, with the player focused on pre-season with Manchester United and Carrick eager to assess his attitude. The future of Rashford remains a topic of speculation, but a move to Fenerbahce does not appear to be imminent. These potential departures would free up funds for further investment in the squad as United look to strengthen their options for the upcoming season.
Amorim’s arrival at Milan has clearly influenced their transfer strategy, with a focus on players he is familiar with. The situation with both Diallo and Mazraoui remains fluid, dependent on Manchester United’s willingness to negotiate and Milan’s ability to meet their valuation.
