Leeds United are showing interest in Juventus goalkeeper Alessandro Di Gregorio, according to reports emerging from Italy. The potential move comes as Juventus anticipates a €19 million transfer of defender Matias Muharemovic to Leeds, which would provide a financial boost to the Turin club’s transfer activity.
Juventus’ new CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, has been given increased financial flexibility following the sale of Muharemovic. This allows the club to pursue several targets identified by manager Massimiliano Allegri, including an experienced goalkeeper and a top-level European striker. While Juventus are prioritizing these positions, the potential arrival of funds from the Muharemovic deal could also facilitate strengthening the defense and midfield.
Di Gregorio, who previously played for Monza, is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, though he would prefer to remain at Juventus and compete for playing time. The 26-year-old established himself as a reliable Serie A goalkeeper last season, making 35 appearances and keeping 10 clean sheets. His consistent performances have attracted attention from clubs seeking a dependable option between the posts.
Juventus are also exploring other defensive options, with Bologna’s Jhon Lucumí emerging as a potential target. The club is also continuing discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a possible deal for Randal Kolo Muani, though the French club’s asking price of €50 million remains a significant obstacle. Alternative attacking options, such as Alexander Sørloth, are also being considered. Juventus are keen to reduce their wage bill and generate additional funds through player sales, but currently, few concrete offers have been received for players deemed surplus to requirements.
