TSG Hoffenheim have confirmed that forward Tim Lemperle has signed a new long-term contract with the club, extending his stay in Sinsheim. The 24-year-old joined Hoffenheim from 1. FC Köln last summer and has quickly become an integral part of the team’s attacking setup. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed by the club.
Sporting managing director Andreas Schicker lauded Lemperle’s impact since arriving at the PreZero Arena. “Tim has been an important piece of our sporting development from day one,” Schicker stated, highlighting the player’s finishing, movement, and work rate as key attributes that align with Hoffenheim’s tactical approach. The club clearly views Lemperle as a cornerstone of their future plans.
Lemperle enjoyed a productive 2025/26 season, finding the back of the net eight times in 31 appearances across all competitions. This output helped Hoffenheim secure European qualification for the upcoming season, a feat the player expressed excitement about. He has established himself as a consistent threat in the Bundesliga.
The player himself echoed Schicker’s sentiments, expressing his contentment with life at Hoffenheim. “I feel very comfortable at Hoffenheim and sense that we as a team are still not at the end of our development,” Lemperle said. He emphasized a belief in the project being built at the club and voiced his eagerness to compete in European football, while also maintaining a desire for continued improvement. This commitment suggests Lemperle sees a clear pathway for growth within the team.
The contract extension secures a key attacking asset for Hoffenheim as they prepare for a campaign that includes European competition. The move demonstrates the club’s ambition and ability to retain talented players, positioning them for continued success in the Bundesliga and beyond.
