Lille and Monaco are both monitoring Frosinone winger Farès Ghedjemis, according to L’Équipe. The 23-year-old Algerian international recently earned Serie B’s Most Valuable Player award after contributing 15 goals and three assists to Frosinone’s promotion to Serie A. He is currently participating in the Coupe du monde with Algeria.
Ghedjemis came through the youth system at Troyes and also spent time at Le Havre, Évreux, Vannes, and Rouen before establishing himself in Italy. His performances for Frosinone have drawn attention from several clubs, with both Lille and Monaco identifying him as a potential summer signing. Monaco are specifically looking for a replacement should Maghnes Akliouche depart.
The report indicates that Monaco view Ghedjemis as a player who fits their criteria – a technically gifted and impactful attacker. Lille have also been tracking the left-winger for several weeks, suggesting a proactive approach to securing his signature. However, competition is expected to be fierce, with Italian giants Juventus and Napoli also reportedly interested in the player.
Frosinone are under no immediate pressure to sell, with Ghedjemis currently under contract until June 2028. Any potential deal would likely require a transfer fee in the region of €10-15 million to convince the Serie A club to part ways with their star player. Ghedjemis’s recent form and potential suggest he could be a valuable addition to a top-tier European squad, and a move this summer appears increasingly likely.
