Liverpool have registered their interest in Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento, according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs. The Reds are also pursuing RB Leipzig midfielders Yan Diomande and Assan Ouedraogo, with a combined valuation exceeding £156 million.
Liverpool’s recent 1-1 draw with Chelsea highlighted vulnerabilities at right-back, prompting Arne Slot to consider reinforcements. Current options Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong have struggled with injuries and consistency, respectively. While Denzel Dumfries has been linked, Livramento has emerged as a new target for the club.
Jacobs reports that Liverpool have “always had appreciation” for the 23-year-old Livramento, who is capable of playing on both flanks. Contract negotiations between Livramento and Newcastle have stalled, and the Magpies are reportedly willing to sell for around £70 million to facilitate a squad rebuild. Manchester City and Arsenal have also been linked with the England international, but Liverpool are now poised to make a move.
In addition to Livramento, Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is aiming to secure a double deal with RB Leipzig for Diomande and Ouedraogo. The club has already initiated talks with Leipzig and Diomande’s representatives regarding a potential €100 million (£86.5m) transfer for the midfielder. Reports from German outlet Bild indicate Liverpool are also “keen on Leipzig’s jewel,” Ouedraogo, though his valuation is estimated between €80-100 million (£69-86.5m). Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Ouedraogo, potentially leading to a bidding war.
Meanwhile, a report from Turkish source Fotomac claims Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is considering leaving the club at the end of his contract, potentially even terminating his deal to join Galatasaray. However, this claim is viewed with skepticism, as Van Dijk is widely expected to remain at Anfield for another season. These potential additions would significantly bolster Liverpool’s squad ahead of next season, addressing key areas of need identified during the recent campaign.
