Liverpool are reportedly among a handful of clubs monitoring the situation surrounding Vinicius Junior’s contract at Real Madrid, according to a report from El Debate. The Brazilian winger’s current deal with Los Blancos is set to expire at the end of next season, and negotiations for an extension have reportedly stalled due to disagreements over wages.
Vinicius Junior has established himself as a key player for both Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team, winning LaLiga three times and the Champions League twice with the Spanish giants. He is currently preparing to represent Brazil at the 2026 World Cup, where he is expected to be a pivotal figure. However, uncertainty surrounds his long-term future in Madrid.
El Debate claims that Vinicius Junior is facing a ‘dilemma’ regarding his future, with his agent, Federico Pena, reportedly advising him not to renew in order to secure a lucrative signing bonus and potentially force a transfer. The report suggests that only five clubs – Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Manchester United – would be financially capable of signing the 23-year-old.
Separately, Liverpool, under newly appointed manager Andoni Iraola, are also reportedly showing interest in Fulham winger Kevin. According to Anfield Watch, the club is keeping tabs on the Brazilian, who joined Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2025 for a club-record fee of £34.6 million. Kevin scored eight goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances for Fulham during the 2025/26 season.
In other Liverpool news, new signing Jeremy Jacquet has expressed his excitement about joining the club. Jacquet completed a £60 million move from Rennes in February and stated his delight at the facilities and the opportunity to play for a “big dream” club. The defender is eager to begin training with his new teammates and contribute to the team’s success. The potential arrival of Vinicius Junior would further bolster Liverpool’s attacking options, while the pursuit of Kevin suggests Iraola is looking to add depth and competition to the squad.
