Liverpool are monitoring Bournemouth winger Rayan as they seek to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Mohamed Salah, though a move this summer appears unlikely. Multiple sources, including talkSPORT reporters Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs, have confirmed the club’s interest in the 19-year-old Brazilian, initially reported by TransfersDaily’s Graeme Bailey in July.
Rayan joined Bournemouth in January as a replacement for Antoine Semenyo and quickly established himself as a key player, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 15 Premier League appearances. His goal contribution every 160 minutes has impressed Liverpool’s scouting team, who believe he possesses an ‘exceptionally high ceiling’ and the qualities to succeed at Anfield.
However, Bournemouth are reportedly unwilling to sell Rayan after only six months at the club, viewing him as ‘untouchable’. While the player has a release clause of £130 million, it does not become active until 2027, giving the Cherries full control over his future for the time being. Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, who previously worked with Rayan at Bournemouth, is believed to be a strong admirer of the player.
Liverpool have also made contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding Bradley Barcola, and are reportedly prepared to break their transfer record to secure his signature. The Reds are seeking to add further attacking depth even if a deal for Barcola is completed, indicating the high priority placed on strengthening their forward line. Other European giants, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG, are also monitoring Rayan’s progress, but Liverpool’s interest remains firm despite the obstacles.
