Liverpool have renewed their interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, making fresh contact with the French club within the last 24 hours, according to sources at TEAMtalk. The 23-year-old France international has been made available by PSG as they look to comply with financial regulations and balance their squad following recent acquisitions.
Barcola is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield, with personal terms not anticipated to be a significant hurdle should a deal be agreed. Liverpool have long admired the player and remain confident in their ability to secure further signings before the transfer window closes. The potential addition of Barcola would bring pace and attacking dynamism to Andoni Iraola’s squad, potentially as a long-term solution as the club considers its future options.
Barcola has scored 39 goals and provided 37 assists in 152 appearances for PSG, demonstrating his attacking output during his time in the French capital. He also featured for France at the World Cup, scoring against Senegal and Sweden during their qualification run. Despite his contributions, Barcola has found first-team opportunities limited at PSG, starting only 21 of 38 league games last season.
The Frenchman is versatile, capable of playing on either wing or as a centre-forward, making him an attractive option for Iraola. Liverpool’s pursuit of Barcola has intensified following difficulties in securing RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. While no agreement is currently in place, the renewed communication signals a serious intent from Liverpool to progress a deal. The Merseyside club have already added Victor Munoz and are set to welcome Jeremy Jacquet, indicating an active summer of recruitment.
Further additions are expected at Anfield before the transfer window closes, with Iraola aiming to build a competitive squad. Discussions between Liverpool and PSG are ongoing, and updates are expected in the coming days as both clubs explore the possibility of a transfer.
