Lou Bogaert has completed a move from Paris FC to VfL Wolfsburg, signing a contract that will run until June 30, 2029, the clubs confirmed. The 22-year-old defender joins the German Bundesliga side after four seasons in the French capital. Financial details of the transfer were not disclosed.
Bogaert arrived at Paris FC in 2022 from Lille, quickly establishing herself as a key player in the team’s starting eleven. During her time with the club, she competed in the Arkema Première Ligue and experienced Champions League football. Her performances also earned her recognition at the international level, making her debut for the French national team and participating in the 2025 European Championship.
Notably, Bogaert played a significant role in Paris FC’s successful Champions League qualifying campaign in 2023, where they eliminated Wolfsburg, the previous season’s finalists. She provided the assist for Paris FC’s third goal in the first leg of that tie, which ended 3-3. This performance may have contributed to Wolfsburg’s interest in securing her services.
“VfL Wolfsburg is one of the biggest clubs in European women’s football and it is a great honour for me to wear its shirt,” Bogaert stated following the confirmation of the transfer. Wolfsburg will be hoping Bogaert can bolster their defense as they continue to compete at the highest level of European football. The move represents a significant step forward in Bogaert’s career, providing her with a platform to further develop her game and challenge for major honors.
