Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has reportedly been seeking information about a potential transfer to Real Madrid this summer, speaking with Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni during international duty with the French national team. According to L’Équipe, Olise questioned the two Madrid players regarding the internal situation at the club and their challenging season last year.
Olise, currently under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029, has apparently communicated his desire for a move to those around him. The 22-year-old has been a key player for Palace since joining from Reading in 2021, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young talents. He has contributed significantly with goals and assists, particularly through his set-piece delivery and dribbling ability.
Interestingly, Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano has reportedly attempted to dissuade Olise from leaving Munich, reportedly telling him “You can’t leave!”. This suggests a potential internal battle within the Bayern squad regarding Olise’s future, despite his current contract length.
While a formal offer from Real Madrid has not yet materialized, Olise’s inquiries indicate a genuine interest in joining the Spanish giants. Madrid are consistently linked with top young talent, and Olise’s profile – a dynamic, creative winger – would seemingly fit their recruitment strategy. A move to the Bernabéu would present Olise with the opportunity to compete at the highest level and potentially play a significant role in a Champions League-winning team. The reported interest from Real Madrid could also prompt other top clubs to enter the race for his signature.
