RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba is attracting significant interest from the Premier League, with both Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly considering activating his €80 million release clause, according to sources. The 23-year-old joined Leipzig in 2023 and has made 99 appearances for the club, establishing himself as a tactically versatile and statistically impressive ball-playing centre-back.
Lukeba’s potential move would continue a trend of Leipzig central defenders securing lucrative transfers to England; Joško Gvardiol joined Manchester City in 2023 and Ibrahima Konaté moved to Liverpool in 2021. While Bayern Munich were previously linked, the race now appears to be between the two Manchester clubs and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Leon Goretzka is set to depart Bayern Munich after a successful spell with the club, where he amassed over 200 appearances and multiple Bundesliga titles, including a Champions League win. The veteran midfielder’s contract is not being renewed, and he is now heavily linked with a move to AC Milan in Serie A, although interest from Inter and Juventus remains. His departure marks a symbolic generational shift at Bayern.
Also attracting attention is RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, who, at 19 years old, has quickly become a highly sought-after prospect. After becoming the second-youngest player to score a hat-trick in the Bundesliga, Diomande has garnered interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid. Liverpool are reportedly prepared to submit an €85 million bid, though Leipzig are holding out for €100 million. The Ivorian has twice been named Bundesliga Player of the Month this season, scoring 12 goals in 32 games.
Serhou Guirassy, the highest-scoring African in Champions League history with 13 goals for Borussia Dortmund, is also considering a move despite being under contract with Dortmund until 2028. He has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, as well as AC Milan, Liverpool, Tottenham, and league leaders Arsenal. These potential moves could significantly impact betting markets, as elite striker transfers often shift odds on league winners and top scorers.
RB Leipzig centre-back El Chadaille Bitshiabu could also be available for transfer, with clubs in Ligue 1 and Serie A reportedly expressing interest.
