Radoslaw Majecki is set to join Cypriot side Paphos on a season-long loan from Monaco, according to L’Équipe. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has already been granted permission to travel to Cyprus to undergo a medical examination.
Majecki returns to Monaco briefly after a disappointing loan spell at Brest, where he lost his place in the starting lineup to Grégoire Coudert. He initially returned to Monaco's training facility in La Turbie last week, but will now continue his development elsewhere.
The Poland international signed for Monaco in 2021 from Legia Warsaw, but has struggled for consistent playing time with the Ligue 1 club. He has made a limited number of appearances for Monaco, primarily serving as a backup option. His contract with the ASM currently runs until 2028.
Paphos will have an option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of €2.5 million, with potential bonuses of up to €500,000. Monaco will also retain a 15% interest in any future sale of the player. This loan move offers Majecki the opportunity to secure regular first-team football, while providing Monaco with a potential return on their investment should he impress in Cyprus. The move could also allow Paphos to strengthen their goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
