Manchester United have renewed their interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The club initially considered a move for the 20-year-old last summer, but he ultimately chose to join the German side to pursue development opportunities.
Bellingham followed his brother Jude’s path to Dortmund, believing the Bundesliga offered a strong platform for growth. While his initial adaptation to German football proved challenging, the midfielder’s form has significantly improved under manager Niko Kovac, starting 18 of Dortmund’s last 20 matches. This increased playing time has attracted attention from several top European clubs, including United, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Alongside Bellingham, United are also monitoring Brighton’s Carlos Baleba and Atalanta’s Ederson as potential midfield reinforcements. Other players under consideration include Elliott Anderson, Sandro Tonali, Adam Wharton, and several players from German and Spanish leagues. United officials have regularly scouted Dortmund players, including Daniel Svensson, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Karim Adeyemi, throughout the season.
Despite the interest, sources close to Bellingham indicate he is currently enjoying his time at Dortmund and is not actively seeking a transfer. He has four years remaining on his contract, and the club views him as a key part of their long-term project, which would likely make any potential deal expensive. United are undertaking extensive scouting to ensure they explore all available options before making any firm decisions, but Bellingham’s recent performances have placed him firmly back on their radar.
