Manchester United have begun discussions with West Ham United regarding a potential move for winger Crysencio Summerville, according to Ben Jacobs. The initial contact between the clubs is described as exploratory, suggesting a deal is not yet advanced.
Summerville has become a key target for United, but any firm pursuit is currently linked to the possible sale of Marcus Rashford. The club is prioritizing midfield reinforcements until Rashford’s future is resolved. West Ham are expected to demand a fee of around €50 million for the 24-year-old, a figure that may increase following his impressive performance at the 2026 World Cup where he registered two goals and two assists for the Netherlands.
Summerville joined West Ham ahead of the 2025-26 season and quickly established himself as a dynamic attacking threat. His ability to both score and create chances has made him a valuable asset for the Hammers, and his recent international form has further enhanced his reputation. He previously played for Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag before making the move to the Premier League.
Should United successfully offload Rashford and secure Summerville, it would add another attacking option for manager Erik ten Hag. The potential arrival of Summerville could provide competition for places and add a different dimension to United’s forward line, particularly in wide areas. The transfer window is expected to be active for both clubs as they look to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
