Manchester United are emerging as a potential destination for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, with the Spanish club reportedly open to offers of around €100 million for the Uruguay international. This comes as Real Madrid prepare for a significant summer overhaul following Florentino Perez’s re-election and the anticipated appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager, according to Miguel Serrano via Foot Mercato.
Madrid are looking to raise funds for incoming transfers and have identified Valverde, along with teammate Eduardo Camavinga, as players who could be sold. Camavinga is said to be available for approximately €50 million. Valverde has been a key player for Real Madrid since breaking into the first team, contributing with vital goals and assists, but the club’s changing priorities may lead to his departure.
Meanwhile, West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes is reportedly prioritizing a move to Old Trafford, despite interest from other clubs, including Real Madrid. According to Shaun Connolly, Fernandes is keen on joining Manchester United, though negotiations are ongoing regarding a fee below West Ham’s asking price of over €90 million, following their recent relegation.
Arsenal continue to be linked with Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, with TEAMtalk reporting the Gunners remain “firmly in the hunt” for the Spain international. Williams, who signed a new long-term contract with Athletic Club last year including a €90 million release clause, is reportedly open to a transfer after the World Cup. He has been a long-term target for Arsenal, who are seeking a marquee addition to their left wing.
Bayern Munich are also considering changes to their squad, with Alphonso Davies potentially available for transfer if they secure Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, as reported by BILD. An unnamed Saudi Arabian club has already reportedly made an approach for Davies. Elsewhere, Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol could be tempted by a move to Real Madrid, according to Sky Germany, as he weighs up a new contract offer from City.
