The summer transfer window continues to see significant activity across Europe’s top five leagues, with several high-profile deals completed as of July 17th, 2026. While no deals were officially announced in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, or Bundesliga today, other leagues have seen considerable movement.
Tottenham Hotspur have been the biggest spenders thus far, reacting to consecutive 17th-place finishes with a total outlay of €267 million. Their acquisitions include Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka. Arsenal have also strengthened their squad, securing Piero Hincapie on a permanent contract after a successful loan spell and adding Illan Meslier on a free transfer from Leeds United. The Gunners have also reached an agreement to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge.
Chelsea have been equally active, bringing in Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev, and Denner. The Blues have also generated revenue through the sales of Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, Andrey Santos to Manchester United, and Tyrique George to Everton. Youngster Jesse Derry has joined Sporting CP on a season-long loan. Manchester City have broken their club transfer record to sign Elliot Anderson, alongside Mathys Detourbet and Jeremy Monga, while Manchester United have added Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow to Michael Carrick’s squad, in addition to Santos.
Liverpool are reportedly set to miss out on Yan Diomande, who prefers a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but have still added Victor Munoz from Osasuna and Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais. Barcelona have secured the services of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for a fee of €80 million, while Real Madrid have completed deals for Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries. Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt, and AC Milan have brought in Goncalo Ramos from PSG for €74 million.
These moves reflect a proactive approach from several clubs as they look to bolster their squads ahead of the upcoming season. The window is expected to remain busy in the coming weeks, with potential moves for players like Michael Olise, Julian Alvarez, and Yan Diomande still being discussed.
