AC Milan have emerged as strong contenders to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to TEAMtalk. The Italian club are considering a move for the 24-year-old following West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa also previously linked with the player.
Summerville enjoyed a productive second half of the season for the Hammers, scoring five goals and providing two assists in his final 16 Premier League appearances. This form earned him a place in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad, despite not yet having earned a senior international cap. His performances have attracted attention from across Europe, prompting Milan to begin assessing a potential transfer.
Milan are currently finalizing their managerial appointment, with talks progressing with former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner. However, the club’s owners, RedBird, are already actively planning for the summer transfer window and have identified Summerville as a potential target. The interest has been heightened by uncertainty surrounding the future of Rafael Leao, with the Portugal international reportedly informing the club of his desire to move on.
Should Leao depart, Milan view Summerville as a leading candidate to fill the void. The club’s recruitment staff believe the Dutchman possesses the qualities to succeed in Serie A, including his pace, direct running, and creativity. They also see significant potential for further development in the player, who is entering his prime years.
West Ham are anticipating offers for Summerville following their relegation and are likely to demand around £35 million for the winger, having originally paid approximately £25 million for his services. While no final decision has been made, sources indicate the club expect Summerville to move on if a suitable offer is received. His departure would represent a significant loss for West Ham as they prepare for life in the Championship.
