Milan have agreed a deal to sign Andrej Kostic from Partizan Belgrade, the club confirmed, with the transfer set for the 2026-27 season. The fee is reported to be €3 million for the 17-year-old Montenegrin forward.
Kostic has impressed in his breakthrough season with Partizan, scoring 12 goals and providing one assist in 39 appearances across all competitions. He currently ranks third among Under-21 players in the top 50 European leagues for goal involvement per 90 minutes, with a rate of 0.92, trailing only Lamine Yamal of Barcelona and Matviy Ponomarenko of Dynamo Kyiv. This statistic highlights his significant contribution to his team’s attack.
The forward’s emergence has drawn comparisons to Dusan Vlahovic, with both players represented by the same agent. Kostic is described as a physically imposing striker, standing at 188cm, who possesses both technical ability and a versatile skillset. He is capable of playing as a traditional target man, linking up play, and scoring goals from various positions, drawing comparisons to Harry Kane, albeit with the acknowledgement of a considerable gap in experience.
Kostic has already demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure, having scored against Italy’s Under-21 team last September. He has also earned his first caps for the Montenegrin national team, debuting in October under the guidance of Mirko Vucinic. The player’s former coach, Ivan Brnovic, has lauded Kostic as a blend of Filippo Inzaghi and Ole Gunnar Solskjær, suggesting a natural goalscoring instinct and intelligent movement. He will initially join Milan’s youth setup, Milan Futuro, upon completion of the transfer, with a potential pathway to the first team under consideration by coach Max Allegri.
