AC Milan have announced the permanent signing of Portugal forward Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €65 million, with a potential €5 million in add-ons, the club confirmed on Friday. Ramos has signed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, keeping him at the San Siro until June 30, 2031, at a reported salary of €5 million per season.
The move comes following the appointment of Rúben Amorim as Milan’s new head coach, with Ramos identified as a key target. The transfer represents a significant investment for Milan, signalling their ambition to compete at the highest level both domestically and in Europe. Ramos becomes the first official signing under Amorim’s management.
Ramos began his professional career with Benfica, progressing through their youth system before making his debut in 2019. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Lisbon club, exceeding 100 appearances and scoring 41 goals, contributing to their Primeira Liga title win in the 2022/23 season. His performances attracted attention from across Europe, leading to a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023.
At PSG, Ramos continued to demonstrate his goal-scoring ability, netting 45 times in 131 appearances and adding to his trophy cabinet with three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France wins, three French Super Cups, two Champions League titles, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup. He has also represented Portugal at the international level, making his debut in November 2022 and participating in two World Cups, as well as winning the UEFA Nations League in 2024/25.
Milan will be hoping Ramos can replicate his prolific form in Serie A and become a focal point of their attack. The signing addresses a need for a consistent goalscorer and provides Amorim with a proven talent to build around as he looks to reshape the Milan squad.
