AC Milan will debut their 2026-27 home kit during Sunday’s Serie A match against Cagliari at San Siro, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport. The club anticipates over 70,000 fans will be in attendance, marking a significant return to full capacity following a sparsely populated match against Atalanta earlier this month.
The new kit, produced by Puma, is designed as a homage to the club’s 1998-99 Scudetto-winning season under Alberto Zaccheroni. Key design elements include broad stripes, a central red stripe, and a V-neck collar, mirroring the aesthetic of the iconic shirt from over two decades ago. Images of the kit were previously leaked by Footy Headlines.
Milan’s recent form at San Siro has been inconsistent, with their last victory coming on March 21st against Torino. Subsequent home matches have resulted in defeats to Udinese and Atalanta, both by a score of 3-0, and a goalless draw against Juventus. The club is aiming to secure a Champions League spot for next season, and a win against Cagliari would significantly boost their chances.
The Cagliari match also represents a potential farewell to several players whose contracts are expiring, including Fofana, Tomori, and Leao. There is also speculation surrounding the future of veteran midfielder Luka Modrić, with the club hoping to convince him to extend his stay in Milan. Davide Ancelotti, son of current Milan coach Stefano Ancelotti, has also expressed interest in potentially managing the club in the future. The match will serve as a final opportunity for the team to rally support and build momentum heading into the off-season.
