Napoli and AC Milan have emerged as leading contenders to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to TEAMtalk. The Italian clubs are actively pursuing a deal for the Dutch international following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.
Summerville enjoyed a productive 2025/26 season with West Ham despite the club’s demotion, attracting attention from across Europe. AC Milan have reportedly made concrete enquiries and are particularly keen to secure his signature, viewing him as a potential replacement for Rafael Leao, whose future at the club remains uncertain. Milan are prepared to meet West Ham’s £35million valuation.
Napoli are also strongly interested, with scouts having closely monitored Summerville throughout the season. The Partenopei are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of another Serie A title challenge, and Summerville’s versatility – he can play on either flank – makes him an attractive option. Insiders claim Napoli have expressed significant interest and are assessing the feasibility of a summer move.
West Ham, having been relegated, are resigned to losing Summerville, who joined the club from Leeds United in 2020 for £25m plus add-ons. The 24-year-old was a standout performer for the Hammers, scoring five goals and providing two assists in 29 Premier League starts. While interest from Premier League clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa is possible, the lure of Serie A appears to be the strongest at present.
For Summerville, a move to either Napoli or Milan would represent a significant step in his career, offering regular football at a high level and the opportunity to compete in European competitions. Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming weeks as both Italian clubs work to finalize a deal. West Ham will be hoping to secure a substantial profit on the player they signed six years ago.
