Winger Victor Munoz is the subject of transfer interest from both La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa, according to the Daily Mirror via CaughtOffside. The 22-year-old currently plays for Osasuna, where he enjoyed a breakout 2025-26 season, registering seven goals and five assists in all competitions.
Munoz’s impressive form led to a debut for the Spanish national team in March, where he marked the occasion with a goal against Serbia. Real Madrid retain a favourable buy-back clause from his sale to Osasuna last summer, giving them a potential advantage in securing his signature. Barcelona identified Munoz as a potential target back in March, indicating their own desire to bolster their attacking options.
However, Osasuna have adopted a firm stance regarding any potential sale of Munoz, stating they will only entertain offers that match his €40 million release clause. While this figure may not deter Premier League clubs like Newcastle and Aston Villa, both enjoying significant financial resources, it could prove challenging for Barcelona given their current financial situation.
The player’s recent performances have significantly increased his market value, and Osasuna are understandably keen to maximize their return. Retaining Munoz remains a priority for the club, but they appear prepared to let him leave for the right price. At this stage, Real Madrid are considered the most likely destination for Munoz, due to the existing buy-back clause, but the interest from the Premier League adds a new dimension to the transfer saga. His arrival at any of these clubs would provide a dynamic attacking threat and potentially elevate their squad’s overall quality.
