Fiorentina sporting director Fabio Paratici addressed speculation linking him with a return to Juventus and interest from AC Milan ahead of his side’s match against his former club. Paratici spent eleven years with Juventus, a period he described as “wonderful” and a “great part of my career” in an interview with Sky Sport.
Returning to the Allianz Stadium for the first time since joining Fiorentina, Paratici acknowledged the emotional weight of the occasion. He expressed gratitude to Juventus and his family for their time in Turin, emphasizing the importance of the relationships he built with staff and colleagues throughout the club. He also stated he does not regret his time at Tottenham or Sampdoria.
Recent reports in Italy have suggested AC Milan are considering approaching Paratici to oversee their football operations, but the director was quick to dismiss these claims. He jokingly responded to the rumors, stating he had only recently settled into a new home in Florence and was fully committed to the Fiorentina project. Paratici affirmed his focus remains on building a “solid and lasting” foundation for the club’s future.
He also briefly discussed the progress of forward Moise Kean, acknowledging the player is working to regain his best form. Paratici cautioned against making definitive statements about Kean’s future, noting the unpredictable nature of football. He reiterated the club’s commitment to a long-term project, emphasizing the importance of a thorough assessment of all factors, including players, the club structure, and the manager, to ensure success.
Speaking to DAZN, Paratici again stressed his dedication to Fiorentina, stating his commitment has not wavered since his arrival. He highlighted the need for a comprehensive evaluation of all aspects of the club to build a team capable of achieving a different outcome than the current season.
