Paris Saint-Germain are nearing a deal to sign Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco, according to reports from RMC Sport. The France international, who has 10 caps for his country, has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract with the Parisian club.
Negotiations between PSG and Monaco are currently underway, with the Ligue 1 champions hoping to finalize a transfer fee with their rivals. Last summer, PSG’s attempts to sign Akliouche were reportedly blocked by Monaco’s high demands. This time, however, a deal appears more likely to materialize.
Akliouche is currently representing France at the World Cup, where he recently expressed his admiration for PSG in an interview with Le Figaro. He stated that it was “flattering” for the “biggest club in the world” to show interest in him, adding that it “can only be good” for his career. The 21-year-old has emerged as a promising talent in Ligue 1, known for his technical ability and creative playmaking.
The potential arrival of Akliouche comes as PSG navigate a busy transfer window. The club is also reportedly close to completing the sale of Lee Kang-in to Atlético Madrid for a fee of €40 million. Akliouche’s signing would provide further depth and competition in PSG’s midfield, strengthening their squad for both domestic and European challenges. The move could also allow PSG to generate funds through player sales, adhering to financial fair play regulations.
