However, the departure of Pep Guardiola from Manchester City is believed to have altered the landscape, creating a ‘crucial block’ to his exit and potentially opening the door for a deal. City’s sporting director, Hugo Viana, has reportedly indicated that the club are open to Savinho’s departure as part of a wider reshaping of the squad.
Savinho’s first-team opportunities at Manchester City have been limited, despite his potential.
