Real Madrid have entered advanced negotiations to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, who is set to become a free agent, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Portuguese international has also been linked with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Real Madrid has significantly altered the landscape, with the manager reportedly keen to reunite with Silva. Jorge Mendes, who represents both Mourinho and Silva, is also involved in discussions, though Romano stresses his strong relationships with other clubs haven’t diminished Real’s advantage.
Meanwhile, Manchester City saw a substantial bid of £121 million, including add-ons, for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson rejected. The offer comprised £106 million guaranteed plus £15 million in potential add-ons, but Forest are holding firm, seeking a fully guaranteed fee that would surpass the Premier League record transfers of Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo. City are now considering their next move in pursuit of the midfielder.
Newcastle United are also facing potential upheaval, with Sandro Tonali attracting interest from Manchester City, Arsenal, and other English clubs. This comes as Newcastle pursue Osasuna winger Victor Munoz, submitting an official bid exceeding €30 million, with confidence high due to the player’s apparent desire to join the club. Real Madrid, who hold a buy-back clause and 50 per cent sell-on clause for Munoz, are expected to forego activating the buy-back, instead opting to receive around €16-17 million from the sale.
Elsewhere, Nico Paz, currently at Como on loan from Real Madrid, has expressed his preference to remain with the Serie A side for another season to gain consistent playing time. However, Real Madrid initially sought an immediate return for the Argentine, and the final decision rests with Jose Mourinho. Finally, AC Milan’s search for a new head coach continues, with Oliver Glasner among the candidates, but the process remains open, with Ruben Amorim and Matthias Jaissle also under consideration.
