Juventus manager Massimiliano Spalletti is reportedly seeking to bolster his attacking options with the addition of three central forwards ahead of the 2024-25 Serie A season. According to reports in the Italian press, Spalletti views a strong forward line as crucial to challenging for the Scudetto.
Dusan Vlahovic is considered the focal point of Spalletti’s attack, with the club actively working on a contract extension for the Serbian international. Spalletti has repeatedly praised Vlahovic’s physicality and goal-scoring ability, highlighting his importance to the team’s future. Vlahovic has been a consistent performer for Juventus since arriving in January 2022, despite some inconsistent form.
Alongside Vlahovic, Spalletti is keen on retaining Randal Kolo Muani, who is currently on loan at Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain. The French forward previously impressed during a loan spell with Juventus, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances from January to June 2025. It is suggested that Kolo Muani could be available for around €40 million, making him a potentially attainable target.
Furthermore, Spalletti has indicated his desire to keep Jonathan David at the club. Despite a relatively disappointing season for the Canadian, with 8 goals and 5 assists in over 2,300 minutes, David’s tactical intelligence and ability to create space for midfielders have been valued by the coach. Spalletti has even experimented with deploying David in a deeper role, behind a more traditional centre-forward, a tactic he may revisit with both Vlahovic and Kolo Muani. However, Juventus may consider selling David if a suitable offer exceeding €30 million arrives, potentially generating a significant profit after signing him on a free transfer last summer. Spalletti’s preference for three forwards suggests he envisions a dynamic and versatile attacking unit capable of adapting to different game situations, potentially increasing Juventus’s chances of silverware.
