Tottenham Hotspur have initiated contact with West Ham United regarding a potential move for winger Crysencio Summerville, according to sources at TEAMtalk. The development comes as West Ham prepare for life in the Championship following their recent relegation from the Premier League, potentially forcing the sale of key players.
Spurs are reportedly keen on the Netherlands international, valuing his versatility after previously tracking the former Leeds United player. West Ham are seeking a fee of £50 million for Summerville, who is currently participating in the 2026 World Cup with his national team. The 23-year-old enjoyed a productive season despite West Ham’s struggles, contributing goals and assists as a consistent performer in the Premier League.
Alongside the pursuit of Summerville, Tottenham are also exploring a deal for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Tonali is actively seeking a move to North London to work under manager Roberto De Zerbi, citing a strong connection between the pair stemming from their shared roots in Brescia. Romano noted that financially, there are not expected to be any obstacles to the transfer.
Newcastle CEO David Hopkinson previously described Tonali as “a superstar player” following his arrival at St. James’ Park, however, the player’s desire to reunite with De Zerbi appears to be a significant factor in his transfer ambitions. Tottenham are also in discussions with Cologne over forward Said El Mala, with Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, and Brentford also expressing interest in the 19-year-old German.
These moves signal an ambitious summer for Tottenham as De Zerbi looks to reshape the squad ahead of the new season. Securing Summerville and Tonali would significantly bolster their attacking and midfield options, respectively, and position them to challenge for a top-four spot.
