Racing Club de Strasbourg have begun discussions with Genk over a potential transfer for Cameroon international forward Aaron Bibout, according to L’Équipe. The 21-year-old has been a long-term target for the Ligue 1 club, and negotiations have reportedly progressed positively in recent hours.
Bibout joined Genk in the summer of 2022 from Cameroonian side Dynamo Douala, quickly establishing himself as a promising talent in the Belgian Pro League. Last season, the forward featured in 21 league matches for Genk, scoring six goals. He has a contract with the Belgian club that runs until June 2029, meaning Strasbourg will need to present a compelling offer to secure his signature.
Strasbourg are currently undergoing a period of transition under new ownership, having been taken over by BlueCo, the American investment group that also owns Chelsea.
