Kysha Sylla has completed a permanent transfer from Olympique Lyonnais to Juventus, the Italian club confirmed on Wednesday. The 22-year-old French defender has signed a contract with Juventus that runs until June 30, 2029. She will wear the number 4 shirt for her new club.
Sylla departs Lyon after a period that included a loan spell with Paris FC in January. The move to Juventus represents a significant step in her career, offering her a prominent role in Serie A. While the financial details of the transfer were not disclosed, the length of the contract signals a long-term commitment from both player and club.
Lyon brought Sylla through their academy, and she has also gained experience with Dijon in 2023 and a loan stint with Washington Spirit in the NWSL, scheduled for 2025. Her development has been closely monitored by the French national team, earning her a first call-up in October for a Nations League semi-final against Germany. She was included in the squad by national team manager Laurent Bonadei.
Sylla’s versatility and potential make her a valuable addition to Juventus’s defensive line. The club will be hoping she can quickly adapt to the Italian league and contribute to their ambitions in both domestic and European competitions. This transfer provides Sylla with a platform to further develop her game and compete at a high level, while Juventus strengthens their squad with a promising young talent.
