Dusan Vlahovic is holding decisive talks with Juventus officials today regarding his future at the club, according to reports from Italy. The 26-year-old Serbian striker, accompanied by his father and representative Milos, met with Juventus sporting director Giovanni Ottolini, CEO Damien Comolli, and technical director Giorgio Chiellini at the Continassa training ground.
The meeting comes with Vlahovic’s contract set to expire in 27 days, making him a free agent. Juventus are reportedly offering a contract worth €6 million per year plus bonuses, a significant reduction from his current earnings. The club has presented this as a ‘take it or leave it’ offer, seeking a resolution after a season marked by both frustration and promising form for the player.
Vlahovic endured a disrupted season due to a serious adductor injury sustained in November, requiring surgery and a four-month absence. Despite this setback, he finished the campaign strongly, scoring 10 goals in his final appearances – a tally that matched the combined totals of Jonathan David and Lois Openda, albeit in fewer games. These goals, including a four-goal haul across matches against Verona, Lecce, and Torino, have attracted interest from several European clubs.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Newcastle United have all reportedly sounded out the possibility of signing Vlahovic on a free transfer, offering more substantial signing bonuses and agent fees. However, sources suggest that none of these clubs have fully convinced the player. Should Vlahovic reject Juventus’ offer, the club are actively pursuing Randal Kolo Muani as a potential replacement, with contacts with Paris Saint-Germain already re-established. Kolo Muani previously spent six months on loan at Juventus, scoring 10 goals, and is keen to return. Juventus are also monitoring Jean-Philippe Mateta of Crystal Palace as an alternative option. The outcome of today’s meeting will determine whether Luciano Spalletti will have Vlahovic at his disposal next season, or if the club will turn to Kolo Muani to lead the attack.
