Dusan Vlahovic’s future at Juventus remains uncertain as negotiations over a contract renewal have stalled, according to reports in Italy. While Juventus are pushing to finalize a deal for Randal Kolo Muani, they are taking a more measured approach with Vlahovic’s situation.
Juventus have offered Vlahovic a two-year contract extension worth approximately €7 million per year, but the deal hinges on his father and agent, Milos Vlahovic, accepting a reduced signing bonus. A difference of €5-6 million currently separates the two parties, complicating a potential return to the Turin club. Despite his continued interest in rejoining Juventus, Milos Vlahovic is actively seeking alternative offers that meet his economic demands.
Reports indicate that Milos Vlahovic is scheduled to travel to Istanbul to meet with Besiktas officials. The Turkish club are prepared to significantly increase both Vlahovic’s wage and signing bonus in an attempt to secure his services. Former Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano, who previously coached Vlahovic, is also keen to bring the Serbian forward to his new club and is willing to wait until mid-August for a resolution. This timeline suits Vlahovic, who risks being left in a difficult position if a concrete agreement with Juventus doesn’t materialize.
Napoli have also emerged as potential suitors for Vlahovic, monitoring the situation as they assess their attacking options following uncertainty surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s future. Napoli’s sporting director, Manna, reportedly contacted Milos Vlahovic in early June, expressing interest in revisiting the possibility of a transfer should Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca depart the club. Juventus are also reportedly considering a loan move for Parma’s Mateo Pellegrino, valued at €30 million, and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, but only if they can offload Jonathan David.
Vlahovic joined Juventus in January 2022 from Fiorentina for a reported €70 million. He has scored 21 goals in 73 appearances for the club, but his future has been the subject of speculation throughout the summer transfer window.
