Al Hilal have approached representatives of Harry Kane to discuss a possible move to the Saudi Pro League, according to Sky Sport Switzerland. The contact comes as the England striker participates with his national team at the 2026 World Cup, adding another layer to his ongoing club future speculation.
Kane is reportedly open to assessing both the sporting and financial proposals presented by the Saudi Arabian club before making any definitive decisions about his next career step. The 32-year-old’s current contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2025, but the report indicates a release clause of €65million was previously in place.
However, the opportunity to activate that release clause has now passed, as it reportedly expired at the end of January. This detail casts some doubt on the feasibility of a straightforward transfer, though Al Hilal’s interest signals a willingness to pursue the experienced goalscorer.
Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023, ending his long association with the North London club where he became their all-time leading scorer. He quickly adapted to life in the Bundesliga, finishing last season as the league’s top goalscorer with 36 goals, playing a pivotal role in Bayern’s title-winning campaign. He has continued his prolific form into this season, cementing his status as one of Europe’s elite strikers.
Despite the Saudi offer, sources suggest it is unlikely Kane will leave European football at this stage of his career. Recent indications point towards a potential contract extension with Bayern Munich, possibly until 2029, as the player appears focused on continuing his pursuit of major trophies with the German giants. A long-term commitment to Bayern would allow Kane to further establish himself as a key figure in one of Europe’s most successful clubs, and potentially add to his already impressive collection of individual accolades.
Should Kane remain with Bayern, he will continue to lead their attacking line and compete for domestic and European honours, while a move to Al Hilal would represent a significant addition to the Saudi Pro League’s growing roster of international stars.
