Arsenal have confirmed their interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The news comes as Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Real Madrid potentially complicates Kylian Mbappe’s future, with the Portuguese manager reportedly seeking a new star number nine.
Romano’s confirmation signals a genuine intent from the Gunners to secure Barcola’s services. The 21-year-old has shown promise for PSG, making 23 appearances across all competitions this past season, though often as a substitute. He has scored three goals and provided four assists for the Ligue 1 champions.
Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 for a fee of around €45 million. He has represented France at various youth levels, including the under-21 side. While he hasn’t yet become a consistent starter in Paris, his pace and dribbling ability have drawn attention from several top clubs, including Arsenal.
Arsenal are likely looking to add depth and competition to their wide attacking options. Bukayo Saka remains a key player, but Gabriel Martinelli’s form has been inconsistent at times. Barcola would provide a different profile, offering direct running and a threat in one-on-one situations. The transfer window is still in its early stages, but Arsenal’s proactive approach suggests they are serious about strengthening their squad ahead of next season.
Elsewhere, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has reportedly agreed to terms with Juventus and informed his current club of his desire to move to Turin. Manchester United have also been involved in negotiations, telling RB Leipzig they will not meet their valuation for midfielder Yan Diomande unless the price is lowered. Chelsea wonderkid Josh Acheampong may also seek a transfer despite the club considering him untouchable, while incoming Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is keen to reunite with former Chelsea player Enzo Fernandez.
