Aston Villa have initiated discussions with Chelsea regarding the potential signings of forwards Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho, according to TEAMtalk. The talks occurred alongside negotiations for Morgan Rogers’ move to Stamford Bridge, with Villa planning to reinvest funds from the sale as they prepare for Champions League football under Unai Emery.
Sources indicate Villa used the opportunity to gauge Chelsea’s willingness to part with both attacking players as Emery seeks to reshape his forward line. The club has already experienced disruption with Amadou Onana suffering a season-ending injury and Youri Tielemans completing a transfer to Manchester United.
Jackson is identified as a major target for Villa, owing to his prior working relationship with Emery during their time together at Villarreal. The Villa manager reportedly remains a strong admirer of the Senegal international. Negotiations are expected to progress once Rogers’ transfer is finalized, with Villa confident of exploring a deal.
Alongside Jackson, Villa also enquired about Garnacho. The Argentina international has been previously admired by the club and has re-emerged as an option after Chelsea indicated he is not a key part of Xabi Alonso’s long-term plans. Roma have also submitted a loan offer with an obligation to buy for Garnacho, but are currently prioritizing West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville.
Garnacho is reportedly open to a move to Villa Park, attracted by the prospect of regular first-team football under Emery.
