Bayern Munich are monitoring both Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento of Newcastle United ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk sources. The Bundesliga champions are seeking to bolster their full-back options following a semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Vincent Kompany’s side identified full-back as a priority area for improvement during recruitment discussions, with Alphonso Davies recovering from a knee injury and other current options, including Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic, proving insufficient. Kompany is also hesitant to permanently deploy Joshua Kimmich in a full-back role, preferring his talents in midfield.
Livramento, the 23-year-old England Under-21 international, has emerged as a key target, though he is also attracting attention from Manchester City and Arsenal. Newcastle are aware of the growing interest in the player, who has two years remaining on his current contract at St James’ Park. The club are reportedly open to considering offers if Livramento signals an unwillingness to extend his stay.
While highly regarded for his pace and technical ability, Livramento’s recent injury record is a concern, having suffered thigh, hamstring and knee issues that limited his playing time last season. Despite these setbacks, his reputation as one of Europe’s standout young full-backs remains strong.
Bayern have also shown interest in Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, another player who has impressed with his development, but the Magpies have indicated Hall is not for sale this summer, viewing him as a key part of their long-term plans under Eddie Howe. Bayern will now conduct further checks on Livramento to assess the viability of a summer move, believing he would be a significant upgrade to their current options. Discussions are expected to intensify as Kompany prepares for a major rebuild.
