Inter defender Yann Bisseck has acknowledged reported interest from Bayern Munich, but maintains his current focus remains with the Nerazzurri. The 25-year-old centre-back admitted that links with a club of Bayern’s stature are “flattering”, though he stressed he is not actively considering a transfer at this time. The comments came during a press conference, as reported by Football Italia.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bayern Munich are monitoring Bisseck’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window, potentially seeking defensive reinforcements. The German champions may be in the market for a new centre-back depending on their plans for the existing squad. No fee has been reported at this stage.
Bisseck joined Inter from FC Copenhagen in August 2023, quickly establishing himself as a valuable member of Simone Inzaghi’s squad. He made 36 appearances across all competitions during the 2023/24 campaign, contributing three goals and three assists as Inter secured the Serie A title. His performances have drawn attention from several clubs, including his former national team.
Bisseck earned his first senior international cap for Germany in March 2023, but has not been included in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad since. He was omitted from Germany’s squad for the 2022 World Cup. A move to Bayern could potentially offer Bisseck increased visibility and a chance to re-establish himself in the national team setup.
“I am happy in Milan,” Bisseck stated, underlining his contentment with his current situation. He added, “It is always flattering to be linked with big clubs, but at this moment I am not thinking about it. I just want to go on vacation now and then we’ll see what happens.” This suggests Bisseck is open to considering offers, but is not actively pursuing a transfer. Should Bisseck become available, Bayern’s interest could develop into a formal bid, potentially strengthening their defensive options for the upcoming season.
