Bournemouth have emphatically stated their intention to retain Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, despite significant interest from several top European clubs, according to TEAMtalk. The club has made it clear that no offer will be considered for the 19-year-old forward, who remains central to their long-term plans.
This firm stance comes following the departure of manager Andoni Iraola, who recently took charge of Liverpool. However, Bournemouth are determined to support new boss Marco Rose with a strong squad and are unwilling to weaken it by selling key players like Kroupi. The club views much of the recent transfer speculation as purely that – speculation.
Kroupi enjoyed a breakout season in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals and establishing himself as an exciting young talent. This form has attracted attention from Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish giants Real Madrid. Within the Premier League, Liverpool and Arsenal have both been tracking the French youngster, with Liverpool’s interest heightened by Iraola’s arrival at Anfield, where he is known to be a keen admirer of Kroupi’s abilities.
Despite reported interest from Manchester United, Bournemouth maintain that Kroupi is not for sale. The teenager is currently under contract until 2030 and crucially, does not have a release clause in his deal, giving the club complete control over his future. Bournemouth are also reportedly in talks to extend the contract of fellow youngster Alex Scott, further demonstrating their commitment to building around promising talent.
Bournemouth are confident Kroupi will remain a key part of Rose’s project, and expect him to feature prominently in the upcoming season. The club acknowledges the widespread admiration for Kroupi but are resolute in their decision to keep him at the Vitality Stadium, prioritizing squad strength as they enter a new era under their new manager. This decision signals Bournemouth’s ambition to build on their current foundation rather than dismantle it through player sales.
