Chelsea have expressed interest in signing Viktor Gyokeres from Arsenal for a fee of €87 million, according to reports. The potential move comes as a surprise given Gyokeres’ relatively recent arrival at the Emirates Stadium last year, where he enjoyed a solid, though not spectacular, first season following Arsenal’s Premier League title win.
Despite not being considered essential to Arsenal’s plans, the club would not outright reject a bid reaching the substantial figure quoted by Chelsea. Ben Jacobs stated that while Arsenal aren’t actively seeking to sell Gyokeres, they wouldn’t dismiss an offer of the right amount, describing the situation as “fascinating.” The Sweden international has proven a capable forward, but Arsenal may be open to reinvesting the funds received from his sale.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are reportedly demanding a world-record fee for defender Malo Gusto, should he seek an exit following the arrival of Marco Palestra from Atalanta. The club is only willing to consider offers in the region of €87 million, surpassing the current record held by Achraf Hakimi. While Manchester City has been linked, they are not currently prioritizing a move for the Frenchman.
Real Madrid are facing a deadline to secure a new contract for Vinicius Jr., with his current deal expiring next year. Discussions will resume after his participation in the World Cup, but the club has indicated a sale will be considered if an agreement isn’t reached by a specific date. Vinicius has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, though he has publicly expressed his desire to remain in Madrid.
Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly confident in their pursuit of West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, potentially outbidding Manchester United. Spurs are prepared to meet West Ham’s asking price, confirmed by Sky Sports, and are motivated by Lucas Bergvall’s request to leave the club. United have so far hesitated at West Ham’s valuation of over €90 million. These moves signal active transfer windows for multiple Premier League clubs as they prepare for the upcoming season.
