Chelsea have registered their interest in signing Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid, according to a report in Sport, joining Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for the French midfielder. The news comes as incoming Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso seeks to bolster his squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Camavinga, 23, experienced a challenging 2025/26 campaign with Los Blancos, impacted by both injuries and a dip in form that ultimately led to his exclusion from the France squad for the 2026 World Cup. He arrived at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2021 and remains under contract with the club until 2029, featuring a reported release clause of €1 billion.
Despite reported interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, Camavinga is currently unwilling to leave Madrid. Sources close to the player, as reported by Sport, indicate his desire to remain at the club and regain his place in the team. Fabrizio Romano also recently stated Camavinga wants to fight for his spot at Real Madrid, despite a difficult season.
However, Camavinga’s market value is believed to have decreased by €50 million since 2024, now valued at €50 million. This potential drop in valuation has prompted inquiries from clubs across Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain, who Sport reports would be willing to submit an offer. Real Madrid are not actively seeking to sell Camavinga, but are not entirely closing the door to a potential exit should a significant offer arrive.
Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the new Real Madrid manager may also influence Camavinga’s decision, offering a fresh opportunity to impress and secure a regular starting role. The situation remains fluid, but Camavinga’s current preference is to remain with the Spanish giants.
