Chelsea midfielder Kiano Dyer is attracting interest from Championship clubs Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City, according to TEAMtalk. The 19-year-old is being considered for a season-long loan as he seeks more regular first-team football.
Dyer signed a new contract with Chelsea in September 2025, extending his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2030, demonstrating the club’s high regard for his potential. He joined the Blues from West Bromwich Albion’s academy and has progressed through their youth ranks, making his senior debut in a UEFA Conference League match against Astana in December 2024.
Despite his promise, Dyer’s recent loan spell at FC Volendam in the Eredivisie was unsuccessful, with just four appearances and 26 minutes of action before the Dutch club terminated the agreement in January 2026. He has since returned to Chelsea and impressed for their under-21 side, showcasing his technical ability and vision.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso is reportedly open to allowing Dyer to leave on loan again this summer, believing that consistent game time in a competitive league will aid his development. While Blackburn and Swansea are currently leading the chase, TEAMtalk reports that other Championship sides and clubs across Europe are also monitoring the situation. No formal offers have been made at this stage, but discussions are expected to intensify as pre-season approaches.
Chelsea have a well-established strategy of loaning out young players to gain valuable experience, with the aim of either integrating them into the first team upon their return or generating transfer revenue. A successful loan spell in the Championship could significantly boost Dyer’s prospects, potentially opening doors to a future role at Chelsea or attracting interest from other clubs.
