Juventus will officially begin preparations for the 2024-25 season on Monday with a team gathering, and the club has confirmed that Jeff Ekhator will be among those present. The forward is the only significant new arrival for Juventus thus far this summer, according to reports from TuttoSport.
Ekhator’s arrival represents an opportunity for the young player to earn a place in manager Luciano Spalletti’s plans as Juventus looks to reshape its squad. He will be looking to establish himself after a somewhat inconsistent prior season. The player was recently with the French national team supporting his brother Marcus during the recent international competition.
Juventus’ pre-season schedule includes friendlies against Basel on July 18th, Standard Liege a week later, and a match against Nice on July 31st. A tour featuring games against Chelsea and Inter is also planned, culminating in a match against Palermo before a potential home friendly at the Allianz Stadium. Spalletti intends to use these matches to assess player fitness and inform further transfer activity.
The club is also considering potential departures, with several players including Marco Di Gregorio, Rouhi, Joao Mario, Arthur, and Milik potentially moving on. Goalkeeper Di Gregorio is reportedly awaiting concrete offers, while interest remains in Gatti, who has been linked with a move to Napoli, and Cambiaso. Other players like Cabal, Zhegrova, and even Thuram could also be subject to offers, with Openda identified as a potential departure. Several young players from Juventus’ Next Gen squad, including Owusu, Pedro Felipe, and Gil Puche, will join the first team for initial training sessions.
