Fulham have confirmed the departure of forward Raul Jimenez, bringing an end to his three-year spell at the club. The announcement came as part of a larger statement detailing the release of 14 players, many of whom were academy prospects who did not feature in the Premier League. Jimenez, 35, joined Fulham in 2023 and went on to make 115 appearances, scoring 31 goals and providing 6 assists.
Fulham’s official statement acknowledged Jimenez’s contribution, noting he “played an essential role during his three years at Fulham, scoring 31 goals.” The Mexico international is expected to lead the line for his country at the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Jimenez previously established himself as a Premier League goalscorer during his time with Wolverhampton Wanderers, becoming a key figure in their rise to prominence.
Alongside the confirmation of Jimenez’s departure, Fulham also announced they have offered a new contract to winger Harry Wilson. The 29-year-old’s current deal is set to expire on June 30th. Wilson enjoyed a breakout season in the Premier League, registering 10 goals and 7 assists, establishing himself as a vital attacking threat for the Cottagers.
The release of Jimenez creates a void in Fulham’s attacking options, potentially prompting the club to seek reinforcements in the summer transfer window. With Wilson’s future still uncertain, securing his signature on a new contract will be a priority for manager Marco Silva as he looks to build on a mid-table finish in the recently concluded Premier League season. Fulham will likely seek a replacement who can offer a similar goal threat and physical presence to the experienced Mexican forward.
