Bournemouth have no intention of selling forward Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, despite reported interest from Tottenham, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, according to updates from Sky Sports reporters Mark McAdam and Michael Bridge.
Kroupi enjoyed a breakout season with Bournemouth, scoring 13 Premier League goals as a teenager and quickly establishing himself as one of the league’s most exciting young talents. This form has led to valuations in the £80m-£100m range, but the Cherries appear determined to retain their prized asset.
The club are reportedly on the verge of completing an £18m deal (rising to £25m with add-ons) for Elche striker Alvaro Rodriguez, a move that initially sparked speculation Kroupi could be allowed to leave. However, sources indicate Rodriguez is viewed as an addition to, not a replacement for, the young Frenchman.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with a move for Kroupi, with the Gunners seeking a versatile forward capable of playing on the wing or through the middle. Spurs, having already spent significantly on new signings, were also reportedly prepared to make a substantial offer. PSG were also considering Kroupi as a potential replacement for Goncalo Ramos, who recently joined AC Milan.
However, Bournemouth’s position is firm, with no release clause in Kroupi’s contract, which runs until 2030, giving them significant leverage. Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Bill Foley, the club’s owner, wants manager Marco Rose to have the “strongest squad possible” in his first season, and that an “astronomical figure” would be required to even consider a sale. Michael Bridge echoed this sentiment, stating a source told him, “Who isn’t interested in him?”
This development represents a setback for Tottenham and Arsenal, who will now need to explore alternative attacking options. Kroupi’s continued presence at Bournemouth is expected to significantly strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
